You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe or restrict anyone else’s use. We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site without notice.

3. Coaching, Counselling, and Consultancy Services

3.1 Nature of Services

Services provided via the Site:

  • do not constitute medical, psychological, or psychiatric diagnosis or treatment;

  • do not replace professional healthcare;

  • are not crisis or emergency services;

  • involve your full responsibility for your own decisions and wellbeing.

If you are in crisis, you must contact emergency services or NHS urgent care. See Section 14 (Safeguarding and Crisis Support) for signposting.

3.2 Professional Standards

Emma Redman is a Registered Member of the NCPS (Membership No. NCS19-07600) and works within the NCPS Ethical Framework. This includes obligations on:

  • confidentiality and record keeping;

  • regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development;

  • safeguarding of adults and children;

  • ethical conduct and client welfare.

3.3 Booking & Cancellation

Cancellations and rearrangements must follow the policy provided at booking. Our current cancellation window is 48 hours’ notice. Missed appointments inside that window may be charged, as the slot was held for you.

3.4 Professional Relationship

Use of this Site does not establish a therapeutic or coaching relationship. A relationship is formed only when a service is formally booked and confirmed, and (for clinical services) after intake and agreement have been completed.

3.5 International Clients

We support clients online across the UK and internationally. Where you are located outside the UK, please note:

  • services are delivered under the laws of England and Wales;

  • we cannot guarantee that services meet the regulatory requirements of every other jurisdiction;

  • you are responsible for confirming that online therapeutic or coaching support is permitted for you in your country of residence;

  • payment is in GBP; exchange fees are your responsibility;

  • local crisis services and laws apply in your jurisdiction — we cannot provide crisis response.

4. Corporate, Workplace, and EAP Services

4.1 - Corporate and workplace consultancy

Where we work with an employer or organisation, the engagement is governed by a separate written contract that will set out:

  • scope (e.g. training, staff coaching, workplace assessments, leadership support, retainers);

  • who the client is — the employer, the individual, or both;

  • confidentiality boundaries and reporting expectations;

  • data-sharing arrangements (see Privacy Policy Section 7);

  • fees, invoicing and cancellation terms;

  • intellectual property in any training materials.

These website Terms apply in addition to, and are overridden where inconsistent by, any signed corporate contract.

4.2 - 1:1 coaching funded through Access to Work

Where staff coaching is funded through the UK Access to Work scheme:

  • the employee is our client;

  • we will invoice Access to Work directly in line with the scheme’s requirements;

  • we share only the minimum information required by the scheme (invoice, attendance confirmation);

  • clinical content remains confidential within the NCPS Ethical Framework, unless required by law.

4.3 EAP and insurance-funded sessions

Where sessions are funded through an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) or an insurer (for example, Aviva):

  • the provider’s terms and session limits apply in addition to these Terms;

  • we work within the authorised number of sessions and the clinical scope approved by the provider;

  • we share only the information required by the provider for authorisation, attendance, and outcome reporting (e.g. session numbers, brief outcome measures);

  • clinical detail is not shared with employers without your explicit consent, save where disclosure is required by law or for safeguarding.

If you are unsure whether your provider covers our work, please use the contact form with the provider name and we will confirm.

5. Digital Products (Ebooks, Workbooks, Resources)

Digital products purchased through the Site are for personal use only. You must not:

  • share, resell, upload, or distribute them;

  • reproduce content without permission;

  • claim authorship of materials.

Because digital items are delivered instantly, refunds are not offered once accessed. This is consistent with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and is disclosed at the point of purchase.

6. Interactive Tools on the Site

The Site may host interactive assessments, questionnaires, or AI tools including:

  • VAK Learning Style Assessment

  • PIP Form Answer Generator

  • AI Chat Assistant (website chatbot)

  • other digital tools added from time to time

These tools are informational only and do not replace professional guidance, diagnosis, legal advice, or therapeutic judgement. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or suitability of generated results.

7. Additional Terms for the PIP Form Answer Generator

This section applies specifically to the PIP Form Answer Generator (“PIP Tool”). It forms part of the Terms & Conditions for the entire Site.

7.1 About the PIP Tool

The PIP Tool breaks down the “How Your Disability Affects You” PIP form into simple questions and uses artificial intelligence (AI) to reformat your notes into clearer draft responses. The generated text is only a draft based on your own input.

7.2 What the Tool Does

  • accepts rough notes, bullet points, or short descriptions;

  • reorganises them into clearer text;

  • aligns the structure with publicly available PIP descriptors;

  • keeps the tone broadly consistent with your input.

7.3 What the Tool Does Not Do

  • provide legal, medical, financial, or welfare advice;

  • advise on eligibility or predict outcomes;

  • recommend what you should write;

  • interpret evidence or assess your needs;

  • verify accuracy or completeness of your statements;

  • act on your behalf in any application or appeal.

You remain fully responsible for your final PIP submission.

7.4 No Guarantees or Reliance

We make no guarantee that use of the Tool will improve your claim, result in a particular award, influence DWP decisions, secure points or descriptors, or avoid assessment or review. Use is entirely at your own risk.

7.5 User Responsibilities

  • all information you enter is true and based on your own experiences;

  • you will not enter anyone else’s information without their permission;

  • you are responsible for checking and editing generated text before using it;

  • you understand AI may produce errors or inappropriate phrasing.

7.6 Data Handling, Retention & Deletion

Temporary Data Storage

Entries and drafts are stored temporarily using a session ID. They are not linked to your name or contact details unless you provide such details elsewhere on the Site.

Automatic Purging

Inactive sessions and drafts are deleted automatically after 1 day.

No Profiling

We do not profile users or sell data.

7.7 Sensitive Health Information

We advise against including names, dates of birth, or identifiable details in the notes you input. You are responsible for any identifiable data you choose to disclose.

7.8 Permitted Use of the Tool

You may use the Tool for your own PIP application, to help someone else with their consent, or for non-commercial personal use. You may not resell or replicate the Tool, publish or distribute its output commercially, reverse-engineer or scrape it, or use it for fraudulent claims.

7.9 Intellectual Property

The PIP Tool’s structure, prompts, workflow, code, and logic are the intellectual property of Empowered Coaching. You retain copyright in your own input and any edited version of the generated output.

7.10 Limitation of Liability (PIP Tool)

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for PIP claim outcomes, decisions by the DWP, contractor assessments, errors or omissions in generated text, or any loss arising from reliance on the Tool. We exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss. If liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at the amount paid for the Tool (if any), or £1 — whichever is greater.

7.11 Third-Party AI Providers

The Tool relies on third-party AI services. We are not responsible for downtime, outages, changes in AI behaviour, or policy or model changes outside our control.

8. VAK Learning Style Assessment & Other Tools

Unless stated otherwise: results are approximate and for personal insight only; they do not diagnose learning difficulties or neurodivergence; and they must not be used as educational, clinical, or employment evidence.

9. AI Chat Assistant (Website Chatbot)

Our Site uses an AI Chat Assistant to help answer general questions about our services.

  • The Chat Assistant is automated. It is not Emma and not a therapist.

  • It cannot provide therapy, diagnosis, legal or medical advice, or crisis support.

  • If you are in crisis, use the signposting in Section 14 or call 999.

  • Chat transcripts may be stored for quality and safety review. Do not share full names, dates of birth, medical records, or other sensitive identifiers.

  • Where you ask something the Chat Assistant is not allowed to answer, it will offer to connect you with Emma directly.

10. Intellectual Property (Sitewide)

All content on this Site — including branding, copy, designs, products, images, assessments, training materials and tools — is the property of Empowered Coaching unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, copy, adapt, or commercially exploit any content without written permission.

11. Payments & Refunds

Payments for services or digital products are processed through secure third-party providers. Corporate and EAP invoices are settled directly with the funding organisation.

Refunds:

  • are offered only in accordance with UK consumer law (Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013);

  • are not available for digital downloads once accessed;

  • may apply to services only within a specified cancellation window (48 hours’ notice for 1:1 sessions);

  • for corporate, EAP and Access to Work work, refund and cancellation terms are set out in the relevant provider agreement or contract.

12. Limitation of Liability (Sitewide)

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot be excluded by law. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

Otherwise, we are not liable for inaccuracies in content, interruptions or technical failures, errors generated by interactive tools, reliance on information provided, or indirect or consequential losses. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

13. Complaints Procedure

We take concerns seriously and want to hear them.

Step 1 — Raise it with Emma

Email contact@empowered-coaching.today with the subject “Complaint”. We aim to acknowledge within 3 working days and respond fully within 20 working days.

Step 2 — NCPS Escalation

If your concern is about professional conduct and you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the NCPS Professional Conduct Team at www.ncps.com (info@ncps.com). Membership reference: NCS19-07600.

Step 3 — ICO (data concerns)

For concerns about how we handle your personal data, you may also contact the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

14. Safeguarding and Crisis Support

We are not a crisis service. If you, or someone you know, is in immediate danger, please use the resources below:

  • Emergency (life-threatening): 999

  • NHS urgent mental health support: 111 (option 2)

  • Samaritans: 116 123 (free, 24/7)

  • NSPCC (child safeguarding): 0808 800 5000

  • National Domestic Abuse Helpline: 0808 2000 247 (free, 24/7)

  • Shout (text support): Text SHOUT to 85258

  • Frank (drugs & alcohol): 0300 123 6600 (24/7)

We follow NCPS safeguarding expectations. Where we believe a child or adult is at serious risk of harm, we may need to pass information to the relevant authorities. This is explained in full at the start of the therapeutic relationship.

15. Accessibility

We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standard. The Site is designed to be friendly for ADHD, autistic, and anxious visitors — clear language, calm visuals, and simple navigation.

If you have an accessibility need or find something hard to use, please email contact@empowered-coaching.today — we will work with you to find a reasonable adjustment.
